Smart cities create a living environment in which living, work and leisure are organised in smarter ways for households and companies. Smart technology facilitates people with their need for food, health, education and energy management/sustainability. Building smarter and more intelligent buildings play a vital role in that ambition. In the tradition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy sources the city is an important factor. There is a dual responsibility: emissions have to be reduced and that can only be achieved by innovation. The Nano Infrared heating panels are an example of such an innovative solution: heating without gas or fossil fuels and energy efficient. In combination with solar panels a Zero Emission Home is within reach. Publisched today in the Dutch Telegraaf: Smart City.
